Anthem in the Canaries Oct 2015

Great ship, everyone should try it but might not want to do it again. It is enormous and the large number of passengers does result in overcrowding in certain sections at certain times. Its size prevents it from getting close to the ports resulting in long shuttle journeys which Royal Caribbean handle very effectively. The cabins are a good size and the restaurants are excellent both in terms of selection and food. The entertainment and associated facilities are out of this world and can not possibly be matched by any other ship. It is patently obvious that the ship and its superb crew are money and profit orientated to the extent that passengers feel they are being charged a second time for some things. Embarking and disembarking at Southampton went like clockwork apart for one inexcusable and preventable problem. The luggage labels provided by Royal Caribbean got detached from many pieces of luggage between ship and luggage hall including two out of three of ours resulting in panic and pandemonium amongst passengers before finding their missing items had been deposited in a separate holding area away from the designated one.The port staff were brilliant in helping to find items. This resulted in a half hour delay on our coach and probably others.Overall, a superb cruise administered by a very professional company, but perhaps something a little smaller next time.
