4 night Cruise to Cork

We have cruised with Royal Caribbean twice before, so thought we knew what to expect. On Independence of the Seas, however, we didnt expect constant loud music in every Bar and on the main Promenade area from early morning to late evening, With the main areas being open on most decks, the music could be heard everywhere, and we found it difficult to have a conversation at times.

Our Cabin on Deck 6 was towards the front, but we could still hear the music late until around 12.30am in the Star Lounge. The waiters in the main Restaurant were very attentive, a bit too much trying to get a 10 rating on the last evening on the Feedback form. The food was excellent, even in the Windjammer, no complaints of a lack of variety or cold meals. Getting on & off the Ship in Port was no problem. You will have pay for a few extras, ie WiFi, A Ships Tour, the Fish & Chip shop & Burger Bar and 3 additional Restaurants all charged extra. The entertainment was excellent and we found a seat with no problem in the Theater on all evenings. If you like a quiet holiday, this isn’t for you (we are in our 60’s and like a quiet bar to sit in the evenings ). If you have a family, its the best ship we have been on for family attractions. The kids will not be bored.
