Norway – Fjords

Great service on board the ship as usual.
The views in Norway are breathtaking and not to be missed. Which is just as well as there really isn’t anything else to do in any of the ports we went to…mainly due to the weather and the high cost of everything. (Norway is very expensive)!!!
The excursions through the ship are also expensive and we met people who had booked the same excursions independently for half the price.
We pre-booked an excursion called ‘Bergen on your own’. A coach took us from the ship, across the dock to where we could go and explore on our own. We found out later that the only way to get across the dock was via one of these coaches as you are not allowed to walk across the dock. The coaches were laid on to take people across and we need not have wasted money on the excursion. The fee did include a trip on the Funicular, (we knew we wouldn’t see anything when we got to the top as it was so wet and cloudy) but as we had already paid for the trip we went anyway.
The best excursion was the Flam Railway (3 hour excursion in total). Beautiful views of the Fjords and waterfalls.
