Guests or Sales Targets?
Dave Holland | January 7, 2017 | Royal Caribbean International | Radiance of the Seas
Although we picked this cruise because of the destinations it offered, which we enjoyed, we didn`t particularly enjoy the on board experience. Having cruised before we were, of course, used to the fact that the cruise company like you to buy as many of their products as possible, but we both felt that Royal Caribbean`s hard sells made us feel more like captive sales targets rather than holiday guests, which detracted from the cruise experience.
The entertainments on offer were very limited and unimaginative and, again, aimed at selling. We arranged all of our port visits ourselves, which worked out well and saved us a considerable amount of expense.
