Spain and the French Riviera
Alan Mann | October 22, 2022 | Saga Ocean Cruises | Spirit Of Adventure
The Spirit of Adventure was a well designed small liner with an excellent theatre and leisure and promenade decks. The staff were a highlight and nothing was too much for them. The food was, however, disappointing for us and our guests. The kitchen seemed to use far too much salt in most/all of its main meals. Quality was average. We cruise to visit new destinations. Being a small ship, it docked in some different ports which was attractive to us. However, some of the excursions were poorly planned either too difficult for some of the passengers or they tried to pack in far too much. For example, 30 minutes in Eze was a waste of time. Even with the early booking discounts, the cruise was not the best value for money. Overall, we enjoyed the cruise and particularly liked the evening entertainment and will remember the very attentive and HAPPY crew members.
