Relaxing family time

Date of 9 night cruise – 31August2016.
Have sailed with Silversea a few times, but this was only 2nd time as a family – mum, dad, 3 adult children.
We were treated by the staff we knew as friends who haven’t met for a long time, which was lovely. All knew about my allergies so advised me what I could not eat. Food was so much better this cruise than last – I am quite picky on how I want my meat cooked and it was always perfect.
Visited 8 ports on this 9 night cruise, so port intensive, but we still managed to rest, in fact when we got back we realised how little we did do. Dissapointed in changes made to Pompei since last time we visited, but loved Olympia. Portofino was so beautiful. I was also suprised how nice Mykonos turned out to be. Visited Mount Etna , something I had always wanted to do, but it was a long day of travelling on a bus and would have liked longer than half an hour on Mount Etna. Weather was hot and dry, a real bonus after rain at home for weeks.
As my one daughter had limited mobility due to a major operation a few months before this cruise I was suprised how easy it was for her to get around the ship and how helpful the cruise staff were in anticipating her needs, and helping her celebrate her birthday.
Have already started looking at cruises for next year, just need to start saving for it!
