Norwegian Viva has been revealed as the latest ship to join the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) fleet. Launching in June 2023, she will mirror many of the features seen on board her sister ship, Norwegian Prima, with the addition of even more wide-open spaces, stunning design and exceptional service.
The maiden itineraries for Norwegian Viva will be focused around the Mediterranean, taking in popular ports such as Lisbon and the gateways to Rome, Athens and Venice. She will then head to the Caribbean for the 2023/24 winter season, where itineraries will set sail from San Juan in Puerto Rico and include destinations such as the British Virgin Islands, Barbados and St. Lucia.
Harry Sommer, President and Chief Executive Officer of NCL, said: “Norwegian Viva sets the standard in the premium segment, illustrating our commitment to pushing boundaries in four main areas: wide open space, service that puts guests first, thoughtful design and experiences beyond expectation. We have taken everything our guests love to the next level with this brand-new class of ships designed with them in mind.”
Highlights on board the new NCL ship include the Indulge Food Hall complete with 11 eateries, an outdoor sculpture garden and infinity pools. Norwegian Viva is the latest Prima class vessel to join the fleet measuring 965 feet long, 142,500 gross tons and able to accommodate 3,219 guests at double occupancy.
