Oh, Scarlet Lady you had us at ‘hello’

It’s almost a week since we first met at Fincantieri and we’re struggling to get you off our mind. You’re not like the others…you’re different. You’re fearless and feisty, and you’re throwing cruise conventions overboard in favour of a new approach to hitting the high seas. There’ll be fun, there’ll be food and there’ll undoubtedly be the odd hangover, but we’re here for every minute of it.

We’re here for afternoons suspended in a catamaran seven decks above sea level, kicking back between there and the longest day bed at sea. We’re down for dinner at Razzle Dazzle, where vegetarian food is the star of the show and meat merely a side piece. Although we’re keen to channel The Wolseley vibes at The Wake too, the sleek steak and seafood spot from where we’ll have a cracking view across the ship’s wake, illuminated with mood lights obvs – this is a Virgin Voyages ship after all. We’re polishing our platform heels and sequins for nights at The Manor Ballroom, where Studio 54 meets the sea. Did somebody say VIP lounge and bottle service? Oh, Scarlet Lady, you charmer you.

Our eyes will meet over cookery classes in the Test Kitchen Restaurant and we’ll share long, lazy evenings in The Spa, seeking redemption after heavy afternoons at Richard’s Rooftop. Couples who workout together, stay together, so we’ll see you at the Athletic Club where we’ll trade playful punches in the boxing ring and work off those calories on the running track. Later, we’ll take the party back to ours, where the mood lighting is just right and the mixologist is on hand to whip up post-party drinks from a secret drawer featuring our very own cocktail making kit. Because when we’re having such a good time, why would we want it to end?

Scarlet Lady, what do you say we travel the world together? We’re thinking Miami, Puerto Plata, Havana and Costa Maya. Bright white sands, sparkling seas, cocktails and tacos by the beach sounds like the dream, doesn’t it? We could run away to a secret island like castaways. It’ll be Instagram heaven.

And of course, nothing says ‘I love you’ like a tattoo to seal the deal. We’ll meet you at Squid Ink…

We’re head over heels for Virgin Voyages. If you are too, get a room. Or rather, get a rockstar-worthy stateroom or suite. Ship is getting real and Scarlet Lady cruises are on sale now – what are you waiting for, sailor?

Still, want to know more? This is where you can find out more about Virgin Voyages new ship Scarlet Lady.
