Inter Connecting Staterooms

Interconnecting cabins are offered by a variety of major cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean.

This cabin type is a popular option for larger families who want to stay together but find it cheaper to book two rooms, rather than one large suite. Interconnecting cabins can also be a great option for families with older children, with the kids taking one room and adults taking another, giving everyone a little more privacy and space.

Guests sharing interconnecting cabins will be given a key to open and close the connecting door as they choose. Some choose to keep the door open at all times to create one larger cabin, while others prefer the privacy offered by closing the door. When interconnecting cabins are not booked by the same party, they will remain locked at all times.

Alternative options to interconnecting cabins include family suites, which are very spacious and feature separate bedrooms. These are often expensive and are usually booked up very quickly.
