Telephones On Board

All cruise ship cabins contain a telephone featuring designated buttons for key contacts such as reception and room service. These phones can also be used to contact other cabins on board, as well as making calls home. Calls to number outside of the ship will be charged to your on board account and can be considerably more expensive than local rates. Costs vary between cruise lines, so speak to reception for more information on rates before you dial.

Cruise ships are equipped with an MCP network, which allows mobile phones to be used at all times. Charges vary between cruise lines but can again be much higher than regular call rates. The ship’s crew are able to assist with contacting home in the unlikely event of an MCP network error whilst at sea.
