MSC Cruises has revealed the line’s next EVO-class ship will be deployed in the US upon its 2022 completion, home-porting in Miami.

“MSC Seascape is the sister ship to MSC Seashore. It’s currently under construction in Italy, to be launched at the end of next year,” revealed Ruben Rodriguez, MSC Cruises North America president. “And we will be deploying Seascape in Miami as its homeport come winter 2022-2023.” He added that the ship will bring “new experiences, new amenities and new features”.

MSC Seascape is currently under construction with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri ahead of its November 2022 arrival. Rodriguez made the statement regarding the ship’s destination to coincide with its float-out from the shipyard.

The 5,877 passenger ship will featuring 11 dining venues and 19 bars and lounges, plus six swimming pools.

MSC Cruises will begin building their own dedicated terminal at PortMiami shortly, cementing big investments by the cruise line in the US. MSC also recently undertook the Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve project in the Bahamas, which saw the cruise line renovate and restore an island in the Bahamas to turn it from an industrial area to a thriving marine reserve.
