Short break - short change-Princess Cruises | Sapphire Princess Reviews

Itinerary included a tender visit to Guernsey, which was cancelled before we boarded the ship. The reason given was forecasted high winds.

Redirected to Brest, France which was virtually closed being a Sunday, struggled to find a cafe and nearly resorted to going into a Subway. Additionally, the crew had only rigged up one working gangway, which served both on and off. It was not suitable for this…

Sorry to say it’s taken so long to get there but the experience was well worth it. We had an absolutely fantastic time. Thanks to all the P&O staff and thanks to Bolsover for their help. First class

Great ports terrible food-P&O Cruises | Aurora Reviews

Appalling cooking, good ingredients but the restaurant evening meals the worst ever experienced. Lunchtime restaurant and buffet food excellent but unrecognisable dishes that too often had to be sent back. Very disappointing

The Cruise that never was.P&O Cruises | Ventura Reviews

This was the first time I had been on Ventura.

We normally stick to the smaller ships but this went to the Greek Islands and that’s where we wanted to go.

Embarkation at Southampton was excellent, friendly, quick and efficient.

The cabins were ready on time and ours was in good condition and clean when we entered. One minor complaint was that the toilet bin had not been emptied from the previous o…

17 night Cruise to A Greek Island from 18 Sept 2018P&O Cruises | Ventura Reviews

Our first time on this ship which we found to be very enjoyable – Club Dining Food was a marked improvement from that on Aurora in May 2018

We ate in Sindhu on 3 occasions – the first night as they offered a third off and as usual the food was excellent and the experience wonderful.

Cabin with a walk in wardrobe and a very large balcony was brilliant – entertainment excellent with Jimmy James and …

Super trip!Carnival Cruise Lines | Carnival Dream Reviews

We embarked on Carnival Dream on Sunday 30th Sept from New Orleans – a massive ship(4,500 at full capacity) and a massive and very tiring queue to get on board- be warned and book priority boarding! We were a bit wary as when we booked the Bolsover rep looked a bit askance when we asked about formal nights, like ‘don’t expect any!!’ In fact the ship was great, the crew were great, the fellow passe…

Our cruise on the Queen VictoriaCunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews

Not much to say except thotoughly enjoyed it. Made a change to the QM2 which we normally go on and the size and layout made it easier to get around. We had the Mauritania Suite and just loved it. Plenty of room, great service from our butler, Lourdes and Wilson her little helper. Great cruise.

Mixed sort of cruise-Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Silhouette Reviews

1st time in a couple of years on Silhouette & I would say a few things showed it was nearly end of the season – cushions on chairs in passport bar lost their body, some wooden handrails missing due I suspect to maintenance.

The places visited were good with perhaps Ponta Delgada being the biggest disappointment as we tend to walk around a lot & there was very little to see & it was a bit dirty & u…

Disappointed-Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Silhouette Reviews

We were intially disappointed cruisers, it’s always the little things that make a difference. No, shower gel or cap, no information for first time cruisers with Celebrity. The Ocean Veiw dining room the staff were not very attentive lots of chatting, and cold plates for hot food! Hot bowls for cold dessert! The evening dining was good as was our stateroom attendant. However we did enjoy our holi…

Great cruise but watch the moneyRoyal Caribbean International | Symphony of the Seas Reviews

We had a great cruise on the Med from the 30th Sept. In general, magnificent ship and plenty to occupy any age. A couple of points, we found no quiet lounge on the new ship just to read without music and watch the world go by !! Check your account on the TV each day, we found 6 errors of being charged for items we did not order on wine. In one case they charged us for 4 glasses of wine and we were…

We had a lovely time on the Saphire Princess. The weather was perfect, the sea very calm. The ship was in very good condition, especially the comfy beds and pillows, just heaven! We were very impressed with the staff. Everyone on the ship went out of their way to be helpful and every request was received with a smile and very helpful response. The food was excellent and served by happy, efficient …

Great CruiseP&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

Ignore the moaners, things beyond anyone’s control happen.

We thoroughly enjoyed it, had fun with restaurant waiters, wine waiters and entertainment staff. Good food with plenty of variety. Headliners theatre company were excellent, other entertainments were good. Gerard, our cabin steward was wonderful, we just didn’t want to disembark. Now looking forward to next cruise on Britannia to the Balti…

Enjoyable experience, disappointed with weather conditions and not being able to visit 3 ports (particularly Mykonos and Santorini) which we were looking forward to.

The Captain was excellent, he kept us well informed about the situation.

Entertainment shows were also very good as was the food and service.

Autumn break on Sapphire PrincessPrincess Cruises | Sapphire Princess Reviews

We left Southamton with gale force winds but by the time we arrived at our first port of call Vigo the sun was shining and the temperature was 27c which we had for the next 12 days.

With over 2,500 passengers at times everyone seemed to want to go to the most popular entertainment, you had to arrive early and sit around for ages, so we missed quite a lot, what we did see was very good, you also ha…

Really enjoyed the cruise, couldn’t fault it at all, the service to and from Southampton also excellent, only one gripe, I wasn’t all that keen on Ceuta as a port call, but as Florence and Toulon were places I really wanted to see I overlooked that.

Cruise reviewRoyal Caribbean International | Independence of the Seas Reviews

We had a lovely cruise but the downside was that our friend David Holt was ill and was confined to his cabin which meant that the 4 of us were prevented from going onshore etc together. Mrs Holt did join us for some of the time but obviously, the idea was that the 4 of us spent most of the cruise doing things together.

However, Colin and I together with the Holts can only sing the praises of the M…

Excellent cruise on a fine, well organised ship. One complaint only . The theatre is far too small. On every occasion we arrived at the theatre at least 20 minutes before the performance, all seats were taken. Otherwise, a delightful experience.

New York to Quebec-Princess Cruises | Royal Princess Reviews

Sailing from New York in September should have been a pleasant experience, unfortunately a torrential downpour and the lack of supervision by Princess resulted in dry luggage becoming soaked, the luggage was delivered to the cabin after the ship had sailed in a terrible condition. Clothing wet and in a poor state. The ship’s answer was to provide tokens for the self-service laundry machines, howev…

17 night Mediterranean and Greek Islands-P&O Cruises | Ventura Reviews

Lovely cruise destinations but unfortunately the weather conditions prevented the ship visiting three Greek Islands. However, despite the unexpected weather conditions, we enjoyed the cruise.

Food was very good and apart from a few occasions the service was good too. Cabin Stewards (had two due to a problem in our first cabin). We were moved to a higher grade cabin which was lovely and transfer be…

Change of itinerary-P&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

The change of itinerary especially for Monte Carlo was a big disappointment. The excuse was a boat show. You can’t tell me that was a spur of the moment decision to hold it on that day. Other boats were there. Also having 4 tenders was awful. Only one was forecast.

Good but room for improvement-Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Silhouette Reviews

Most aspects very satisfactory. Staff very friendly, food choice good and high quality entertainment. However, it is annoying that several port stops were for a shorter time than we would have liked especially in the Canary Islands which are all close together. Shops are of a high calibre but do not cater for every day needs including toothpaste, paracetamol tablets etc. Scrapping the daily newspa…

New York & Canada 2018P&O Cruises | Arcadia Reviews

Fantastic cruise, 6 day sailing across the Atlantic was smooth. New York was wet on arrival, so disappointed didn’t get a good view of the Statue of Liberty. We booked excursions in New York, so got to see lots. The immigration process was a bit of a bind but suppose it was for security reasons. The stops up through Canada was fine, found the Canadians very friendly. The entertainment on board was…

Middle East MagicFred. Olsen Cruise Lines | Boudicca Reviews

This was a magical cruise in the Middle East. Fred Olsen came up trumps once again. Eleven cruise lines tried but only one come out top, that is Fred Olsen. This was my 28th with them.

To add to the special experience I was upgraded 5 times from an interior cabin on deck 4 to a Marquee …

This was a great cruise. Loved the ship. Food and service excellent. The evening shows were of a very high standard and all but one were very special. New York & CanadaP&O Cruises | Arcadia Reviews

The cruise was very good, the service excellent, and the food was delicious so nice that on our anniversary we decided to eat in the restaurant rather than one of the two speciality restaurants.

The sea behaved itself but some of the ports we visited left us extremely disappointed.

Unfortunately, although the Canadians were very welcoming their towns left a lot be desired!

We had rain in New York …

Short break to Guernsey-Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

Enjoyed the cruise, arrived in Guernsey on the Sunday after a cruise around the channel, many of the shops were closed, why didn’t we arrive on Saturday?

Had to get tech staff to cure the irritating noise coming from the a/c unit, which kept me awake! The insulating material had appeared to have been removed but not replaced!

I was surprised at the very high cost of the wines $48-€55

We have alway…

The holiday started in a relaxed and very convenient way with included coach travel from local pick up – once we’d put our luggage beside the coach we didn’t see it again until it was outside our cabin door – efficient service at its best.
