An enjoyable cruise, but sorry so say, too many extra charges these daysP&O Cruises | Aurora
A lovely cruise with an interesting itinerary. Sadly, we still miss Cafe Bordeaux, which we found the heart of the ship. Very disappointed with the Glass House. Overcooked food, dark and dreary, with no atmosphere. Only four tables in use…

Brilliant little cruiseMSC Cruises | MSC Magnifica
We got a good deal on this 7 day Northern Europe cruise so decided to try MSC, having previously sailed with P&O. Embarkation was quick but I wasn’t keen on the photograph being taken at top of gangway instead of the terminal as it was very cold waiting in line, however, once on board the ship definitely had a wow factor. All the public areas were immaculate, the carpets and furnishings in first…

The overall planning by Travel 2 was excellent with airport pickups, transfers etc working smoothly, especially after long flight to Hanoi. Service as usual excellent around the ship. Food very average certainly not fine dining . Obviously P&O want you to pay extra to go to the select dining. Soft French cheeses, e.g Brie were not available in the dining rooms but were served in the Glass House. What a waste of space the Glass House is, rarely anyone in, stands empty all day. Cakes and pastries in the Horizon were very poor but pay fo…
Unhappy.P&O Cruises | Aurora
Very disappointed by the 2 of the ports that were replaced by P & O due to the hurricane damage to the original booking. Guadalupe and Tobago were very run down and we felt unsafe in both of these ports and would never visit them again.
Not the best Viking Cruise holidayViking Cruises | Viking Hemming
Having nothing but praise for previous Viking River and Ocean cruises, this one on the river Douro was somewhat spoiled by the constant rain and having to jump ship before the end of the holiday because of the river current is too strong, none of this was Viking’s fault. But, a sickness bug went around the ship, people were dropping like flies and Viking did nothing to try to contain this and stop…

1st time cruising with CunardCunard Line | Queen Victoria
We went to celebrate a special occasion on an 8 day cruise to France, Spain and Guernsey on the 8th April. The cruise exceeded our expectations, the standard of the meals was amazing as was the service. The entertainment was also first rate. Overall we had 5 star treatment.
Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

The whole experience was delightful. Everything was efficient and staff were helpful and friendly. The suites are spacious and very well designed as was the entire ship. Every restaurant served delicious, well-presented food. I liked the healthy options.

Cruised on Oceana to Greek Islands in April. First time on Oceana but cruised on several ships previously all with P&O. Unfortunately due to significant drop in standards we would probably look elsewhere for our next cruise.

Too crowded & poor serviceP&O Cruises | Azura
Ship was overcrowded. Frequently unable to find a table in the buffet and Staff did nothing when asked to help – even when some sections were closed off. Freedom Dining does NOT do what it says on the tin! Unless you turn up very early [and people actually queued up before opening to do this!] you would not get a table for 4; you might get one if willing to share but even that wasn’t assured; one …
Enjoyable But P&O is Not the BestP&O Cruises | Oriana
Whilst we enjoyed the cruise it was not the best. Cabin staff and waiters in the main restaurant were great, couldn’t be more pleasant and helpful. Reception staff were very good but many staff in the bars and cafeteria were unsmiling and didn’t seem to care, their customer services skills left much to be desired.
The room was clean and comfortable with a large window, great shower so no problems …
Very disappointingP&O Cruises | Oceana
Med & Greece March 2018 – 18 days – It is with great sadness that we have done our last P&O cruise. We have done many previously and our 3rd on Oceana. We had to return eight meals (Including fine dining experiences) after tolerating a couple …

Not one of the bestP&O Cruises | Ventura
3 days of the worst weather you could think of (not P&Os fault) and many people ill. We would go to breakfast then a trip round the ship, come back around 1 o-clock for a little R&R and find the room still not made up. Then go to the evening meal, then a game of cards go back to our room for the evening @ 9.15pm and the room not ready. New owners to the shops, and none of the shop staff had the co…
A very enjoyable holidayP&O Cruises | Ventura
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent holiday on the Ventura. We were the first lot of passengers on board after the ship’s refit. Brand new carpets in the cabins. When we were on the ship last August, Ventura looked and felt tired, that is no longer the case. We had the same cabin and it felt so fresh and clean. Our cabin steward kept the cabin fastidulously clean and we were impressed with him.

Staff and food were excellent, what we did not like there were a few people smoking on sun decks so we paid £200 each to go into the retreat for five days we were told that the pool sauna and steam room were for the Retreat customers it turned out we payed £400 to lay on very nice sun bed with a waiter in attendance, all the other things were available without having to pay extra.
Poor P&O ExperienceP&O Cruises | Britannia
2-night cruise with P&O Britannia started off good, but due to P&O computer problems, there was a 5-hour delay to departure which had a major knock-on effect to delayed stop in Bruges with ridiculous long queues. All service was paper-based due to problems which meant service was slow and clearly hampered the staff. In general the service was extremely poor (worst we’ve experienced in 14 cruises w…

Left Southampton 4 hrs late — computer problems. Hideous long queues to get on and off ship. Balcony cabins seemed small. Muster station safety review — too many people, couldn’t see the instructors properly. Engine vibrations were excessive, at night time causing even the pillows to vibrate and wake you up.

Happy DaysP&O Cruises | Azura
Things have definitely changed and not particularly for the better. We had the quickest check-in we have ever had and we were on Azura for 1310 hrs which was a record for us. There were no boiled sweets on arrival in the cabin which is a change from last November – that said it isn’t the make or break of the cruise experience. We on…

Great ShipP&O Cruises | Britannia
First trip on Britannia, France and north Spain 7 days. I was impressed despite it’s size there were plenty of places to sit quiet and relax if you wanted to. Second time on the Britannia (but 15th cruise overall); really like the ship. Handled the rough sea very well. The itinerary’s really the reason we booked the cruise, to go round Cape Horn. Some of the ports were 1horse towns with very little to offer unless we purchased an expensive organised tour. Poor customer focus & declining quality & standards.P&O Cruises | Ventura
P&O need to focus more on the customer and its needs rather than how much money they can extract from their customer whilst on board. I thank Bolsover for booking my cruise. I had a very enjoyable time. This was the first time I had cruised on my own after losing my husband in July 2017. I will book another cruise later in the year. I was also very pleased with my cabin R336 a single cabin on desk 6 with a nice large window on the reception deck which I will book again. I found Bolsover staff very helpful.

Southern Africa for Christmas and New YearCrystal Cruises | Crystal Symphony
Crystal Symphony provided a very enjoyable holiday. The outstanding points were the shows each evening except for two, the Cinema, the lectures, the library and the variety of places to eat. Food was good but not exceptional and the service was generally ok. The Ports of call and tours provided a brief and interesting insight of southern Africa.

The ship is in need of some updating. P&O missed out when they did away with the aft decks and built extra cabins on. First time I have embarked on a Christmas cruise and must admit that it was quite enjoyable. The ship had been decorated for the occasion and really looked the part. The ports we stopped at were great with friendly people, I was a little apprehensive before we set off due to rumours about the rules over there but it was great you just need to have sense. The ship was nice and clean and the staff were friendly, the cabin was ample big and comfy and the bedroom assistance was excellent 10/10, the restaurant staff were frien…
They do it rightCunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
The thing that is always impressive about a Cunard cruise is that ‘they do it right.’ No frills, no gimmicks, but a thoroughly professional approach to ensuring they meet customer needs. This cruise to the Iberian Peninsula was no exception. We relaxed most of the time taking in the superb classical guitarist, the excellent production shows and enjoying the food in the Britannia restaurant. A …
What An Excellent CruiseP&O Cruises | Britannia
We have recently returned from a 14 night cruise aboard the Britannia in the Caribbean.
Due to the devastation from the hurricane, our itinerary was changed slightly and we were lucky enough to visit Curacao- what a beautiful place- we didn’t have to be back on-board until 9.30pm so we spent the evening sipping cocktails ashore watching the sunset. Curacao port was all decked ready for Christmas a…1 person found this helpful.Read more
Worst cruise ship we have been on so far.Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation
Having only ever cruised with P&O my wife praised Princess Cruises which she had been on without me. So we decided to give Celebrity Cruises a try as it had new destinations we wanted to try.
The ship itself is very dated and in quite a poor condition. Although we had a drinks package getting served at the bar was sometimes a real headache and there was very little in the way of waiter service on …
Friendly ShipP&O Cruises | Ventura
Ventura is a very friendly, welcoming ship however she is looking decidedly tired and shabby and in urgent need of refurbishing. Some of the chairs in the public rooms had tears and splits and the wood was chipped. The cabin whilst kept very clean by our excellent steward had a few stains on the soft furnishings which required deep cleaning. A little disappointing as Ventura is one of our favourit…1 person found this helpful.Read more

Ventura Canaries cruiseP&O Cruises | Ventura
We have cruised with P&O a number of times and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The latest cruise was in November on the Ventura, unfortunately, this was a bit of a disappointment. We enjoyed the cruise overall, but the experience was not as nice as on the previous ships, the Azura and the Britannia.
Fabulous Cruise-spoilt by journey homeP&O Cruises | Britannia
My first Cruise on Britannia. Enjoyed this very much. At check-in P&O staff present. The outward journey was seamless with a good flight out to Bridgetown. Well worth paying for Premium Eco for the extra comfort. I booked a solo cabin on Lido deck. This was comfortable with a large comfortable single bed. More 3/4 size. Lots of storage space and a good sized bathroom with shower. Decent balcony wi…1 person found this helpful.Read more
Fly & CruiseP&O Cruises | Britannia
OK / good. Not as good as Cunard’s QM2 & QV. When we wanted a relaxed holiday we experienced too many sales offers and too many shops to walk past. Buffet food left out some healthy foods. Orange juice and other juices were not available after 12noon. On enquiry staff said they were on sale elsewhere. Yoghurts were not available for lunch or later. Fully skimmed milk was not available so far as we…
Very disappointing trip with CunardCunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
Two important factors spoiled our first sea cruise. The service was really poor, the staff were generally disinterested and surly, and Cunard were only interested in getting as much money out of us as they possibly could. We will never use Cunard again.
European Christmas MarketsP&O Cruises | Oriana
Cruise lovely but very disappointed in the Christmas Markets – Bruges not as good as that in Southampton before we sailed on the 3rd December and non existent in Amsterdam despite spending considerable time looking and asking local residents. These are lovely ports but unless going to them for specific reasons they are not the places to visit in the winter.
This cruise was marketed as Christmas Ma…
Regular cruiser with P&OP&O Cruises | Oriana
I do not appreciate the current practice of distance between passengers and ship’s officers. I did not see the captain once and the other officers not at all.
Steward and other general staff very good, but who is in the ship’s galley? I was on the same ship in August and the food was excellent and so were the waiters, but the difference in standards was so different in November. The food was overt…

Thank you Bolsover, for making our booking so easy and straightforward. We so looked forward to the music cruise, but instead of it being a spread of music, it was classical music non stop. Not having been on a music cruise before, we found it somewhat heavy.

Not the best cruise we have had. The cabin allocation was particularly disappointing as too near the front and was noisy due to the ship hitting waves and banging. We were disappointed on the recent Oriana refit that the bathrooms had not been updated. Also the Headliners theatre company shows we had seen before although we havent cruised for two years or so. I think it was very noticeable that P …

Loved the cruise. The music was a great bonus. Food superb as always. Loved the dancing with very good dance instructors, Mark and Tracy-Lee. Ship’s main bearings could do with replacement. Norovirus outbreak at end of cruise a bit worrying. Ship’s hygiene precautions should be very strict at the start of cruise and remain strict throughout. Passengers need to be reminded of the need for these pre…
How P&O standards have slipped, not the quality it used to be. Back to CunardP&O Cruises | Ventura
How on earth did P&O get to this?
It seems the desire to pack the big ships at all costs is precipitating a race to the bottom, particularly the type of people that now appear on this once great cruise line.

Overall the cruise was most enjoyable. There are just a few points that could have made it even better. !. We were disappointed that we had so little time in Cagliary. Can’t fault it much. Food, entertainment, staff okay. plenty “space” given the number of passengers. Think rooms and balconies are smaller than on other PO ships.
