Read MoreNorwegian Cruise Line has opened bookings for Norwegian Bella, its newest ship, which will make her debut in May 2028 with a season of Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona.
The sixth and final ship in Norwegian Cruise Line’s Prima Class, Norwegian Bella will accommodate 3,921 guests at double occupancy and, alongside Norwegian Aura, become one of the largest ships in the fleet.
At approximately 170,000 gross tons, the new ship will feature expansive outdoor spaces, family-friendly attractions, an enlarged pool deck and a collection of exclusive suites within The Haven by Norwegian.
Where Will Norwegian Bella Sail in 2028?
Norwegian Bella will spend her inaugural season in Europe, operating seven-night round-trip Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona.
Itineraries will include visits to some of the region’s most popular destinations, including Civitavecchia for Rome, Livorno for Florence, Salerno on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, Marseille in France and Palma de Mallorca in Spain.
The programme offers guests the opportunity to explore several Mediterranean destinations in a single week, with the added attraction of sailing aboard one of Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest ships.
What Can Guests Expect on Norwegian Bella?
Norwegian Bella will build on the design of Norwegian Aura, which is scheduled to launch in May 2027, introducing a range of attractions for families, couples and guests looking for more relaxing spaces.
One of the main features will be Ocean Heights, a multi-level outdoor entertainment complex spanning Decks 18 to 21. The area will include several waterslides, an 82-foot ropes course, a nine-hole mini golf course and carnival-inspired games.
Among the attractions will be Eclipse Racers, where guests can race one another on side-by-side slides, the Bella Free Fall waterslide and The Wave, a raft slide designed for up to four people. Norwegian Cruise Line’s signature 10-deck dry slide, The Drop, will also feature.
Ocean Heights will transform in the evenings, with lighting and projections creating a different atmosphere after dark.
More Outdoor Space and an Expanded Pool Deck
Norwegian Bella will feature a pool deck more than 15% larger than those aboard Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, providing additional seating, an infinity hot tub and a large entertainment screen.
The ship’s Ocean Boulevard promenade will wrap around Deck 8, with more seating, hot tubs and an outdoor bar. Infinity Beach will offer a quieter setting with infinity pools, daybeds and sea views.
Families will find dedicated spaces for younger guests, including Little Explorers’ Cay for children aged two to six and Adventure Alley for those aged six to 10. Teenagers will have their own area at Surf’s Bay.
Additional attractions include a Kids’ Aqua Park, family-friendly waterslides and Horizon Park, where guests can enjoy outdoor games and relaxing areas overlooking the ocean.
For adults seeking somewhere quieter, Vibe Beach Club will offer an exclusive retreat with infinity hot tubs, daybeds, sun loungers and an oceanfront bar.

The Haven by Norwegian
Guests looking for a more exclusive experience will be able to choose from 159 suites within The Haven by Norwegian, the cruise line’s private ship-within-a-ship accommodation.
Located towards the aft of the ship, The Haven will feature its own sundeck with an infinity pool, two hot tubs, an outdoor sauna and a cold room. There will also be separate family-friendly and adults-only areas.
Haven guests will have access to an exclusive restaurant, bar and lounge, alongside 24-hour butler and concierge services and priority embarkation, disembarkation and reservations.
Elsewhere, Norwegian Bella will offer nearly 2,000 staterooms, ranging from inside and solo accommodation to balcony staterooms and family-friendly options.
A Distinctive New Look for Norwegian Bella
Norwegian Cruise Line has also revealed that Australian artist George Rose will create Norwegian Bella’s hull artwork.
Known for her large-scale murals and colourful botanical designs, Rose has developed an original design featuring bold colours, flowing shapes and natural forms.
The artwork will continue Norwegian Cruise Line’s tradition of giving each new ship a distinctive appearance.

When Will Norwegian Bella Launch?
Norwegian Bella is scheduled to enter service in May 2028, following Norwegian Aura’s debut in May 2027.
Both ships are currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy and will become the largest ships in Norwegian Cruise Line’s fleet.
With Norwegian Aura set to sail in the Caribbean and Norwegian Bella launching in the Mediterranean, guests will have the opportunity to experience the cruise line’s newest generation of ships in two of its most popular regions.
Bookings for Norwegian Bella’s inaugural Mediterranean season are now open.
