Designed as the ultimate family holiday at sea, Hero of the Seas will sail from Miami, bringing together the best of beach escapes, resort-style relaxation and theme park-level thrills.
The ship will feature eight distinct neighbourhoods, each offering a different experience, from lively family zones to more relaxed, adults-only spaces. Across the ship, guests can expect more pools, more dining options and more activities than ever before.
Bookings are expected to open soon, with Crown & Anchor Society members able to secure their place early ahead of general sale.
Where Will Hero of the Seas Sail?
Hero of the Seas will be based in Miami, offering seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.
Each sailing will include a visit to Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas, Royal Caribbean’s private island destination. Western Caribbean itineraries will visit destinations such as Cozumel, Costa Maya and Roatán, while Eastern Caribbean sailings will include ports such as St. Maarten and St. Thomas.
The Most Pools at Sea
One of the standout features of Hero of the Seas will be its extensive pool offering, with nine pools across the ship – the most on any cruise ship.
These include a mix of family-friendly areas and adults-only spaces, giving guests the flexibility to choose how they spend their time on board. A new Caribbean-inspired pool, Coconut Cove, will offer a relaxed setting with in-water loungers and poolside service, while the adults-only Hideaway will feature two pools, including the largest swim-up bar at sea and an in-water DJ.
Bigger Thrills and Family Adventures
Adventure is at the heart of Hero of the Seas, with a wide range of activities designed for all ages.
At Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea, guests can experience new family raft slides, including the first funnel raft slide at sea, alongside high-speed racing slides. Thrill-seekers can also take on Crown’s Edge, a combination of skywalk and zip line suspended high above the ocean.
For those who prefer something more relaxed but still active, there’s the FlowRider surf simulator, rock climbing walls, mini golf and a variety of sports courts.
New Family Accommodation
Hero of the Seas introduces a wide range of accommodation options designed to suit families of all sizes.
The headline option is the Ultimate Family Treehouse, a three-level suite complete with a rooftop terrace, private whirlpool and dedicated spaces for both adults and teens. It’s designed to feel like a destination in itself.
There are also family-focused suites with direct access to key areas of the ship, alongside more traditional staterooms and luxury suites offering additional space and premium features.

Hero of the Seas: New Dining Options
Dining on Hero of the Seas will be just as impressive, with a record-breaking 28 venues offering everything from casual favourites to immersive experiences.
New additions include the Orleans Parish Supper Club, inspired by the elegance of New Orleans with live jazz and multi-course dining, and Royal Railway – Hero Station, an interactive dining concept that combines food, storytelling and technology.
Families will also be able to take part in hands-on cooking classes, adding a new interactive element to the dining experience.
