Royal Caribbean is set to raise the bar for holidays at sea in 2026, unveiling three newly amplified ships: Ovation of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas. These fan favourites are poised for bold makeovers, introducing exciting new experiences as they sail to destinations across Alaska, Europe, and the Caribbean.
Liberty of the Seas: Sailing from Southampton in 2026
Families sailing on Liberty of the Seas can look forward to an array of all-new features designed for all ages. Highlights include a completely reimagined pool deck with The Lime & Coconut bar and stylish new casitas for ultimate relaxation. Thrill-seekers will enjoy the addition of a brand-new Royal Escape Room concept, promising immersive puzzle-solving adventures at sea.
Food lovers will not be disappointed, with Izumi Teppanyaki bringing Japanese cuisine and sizzling hibachi experiences on board, alongside the crowd-pleasing El Loco Fresh, serving up tacos and other casual bites. Liberty will also welcome Starbucks to the ship for the first time. Returning favourites like The Perfect Storm waterslides, signature restaurants, and dazzling onboard entertainment will continue to delight guests.
From summer 2026, Liberty of the Seas will sail from Southampton, offering seven-night cruises to some of Europe’s most captivating destinations, including the majestic Norwegian fjords, the medieval charm of Bruges, Belgium, and the cultural treasures of Copenhagen, Denmark. Following its European season, the ship will reposition to Galveston, Texas for the winter, offering sun-soaked escapes to the Western Caribbean, including a stop at the highly anticipated Royal Beach Club Cozumel, opening in 2026.
Continuing the Royal Amplified Journey
The upcoming revamps of Ovation, Harmony, and Liberty of the Seas follow the recent transformation of Allure of the Seas, as part of Royal Caribbean’s Royal Amplified programme, which has been modernising the fleet since 2018. The cruise line, which welcomes more than seven million holidaymakers annually, continues to lead the way with visits to over 300 destinations across 28 ships, with four additional ships currently on order.
Looking further ahead, Royal Caribbean plans to enhance its destination portfolio by launching four exclusive beach experiences over the next three years. These include the much-anticipated Perfect Day Mexico, set to debut in autumn 2027, and new Royal Beach Clubs in Paradise Island in The Bahamas and Cozumel, Mexico, along with private beach escapes in Labadee, Haiti, and Lelepa in the South Pacific.
