We were in a Concierge class rear balcony cabin and found it a bit cramped compared with other cruise ships we have been on.
We could have ordered meals in our cabin but there was nowhere to sit to eat it except on the sofa.
Storage space was particularly limited, given that there were three formal nights and that in the Baltic in May you need woollens and summer wear.
The particular gripe was the noise.
The central lift well was spectacular and stretched open from deck 3 to the glass roof at deck 14.
This provided a perfect funnel for the noise – keep fit classes and music by day and heavy music at night.
The public areas, the bars, the library and the card room all were open to this organ pipe.
If you are a disco person, heaven.
If not….
On the good side, the restaurant staff that had been allocated were particularly well trained and the food was excellent and varied.
Some US based ships we have been on have regarded the epitome of good food to be prime US beef and ice cream but not this one.
The overall experience was positive but we would not hurry back to this particular ship or its sister ships.
