We first sailed with Celebrity Eclipse in the July following its launch.
At that time it met all our expectations.
Five years on, I feel that Celebrity have moved from offering 5 star cruising to appealing the anyone willing to fill their cabins.
The quality of food, service and entertainment has not changed and cannot be faulted.
However Celebrity do seem to be cutting corners for the sake of profit – one example being charging for shuttle buses which a year ago were free.
I think the cruise bubble has now burst and is at saturation point which is such a shame because the concept is still wonderful but has got lost along the way.
