This Cruise was supposed to go to The Azores then the Canary Islands .
However the Captain at Midnight on the day we were going to embark ,decided as the weather was so bad in conjuction with Celebrity Miami Head Office to circumnavigate to Vigo in Spain.This port was of no real interest to anyone and most people had been there,it obviously the only port he could berth his ship last minute.
I know only too well Celebrity can change venue because of bad weather ,but as 90 % of the ship had only booked as the Azores were on this Itinary Celebrity could have taken this into consideration and given us all some on board Credit or at least offered a % off a future cruise with them as an apology.
I am NOT a member of the compensation culture but a prominent business woman in the UK .
My husband and I are the owners of the Company James Inglis U K’s leading Ladies Narrow Fitting Footwear Specialists,but to spend our holiday with a full ship of very dissatisfied passengers and myself doped up to the eyeballs with Sturgeron sea sick pills and Motion Bands that were all sold out in hours of sailing and no advice given from the medical dept was NOT funny.
, One ended up feeling totally clostrophobic in the ship as through the high winds all the doors were closed to the decks and the normally quite select places on the ship like the Coffee shop and Bistro % on the ship were like a constant a busy bus station or worse.The staff were worn out and not enough of them in these places at anytime,so service was slow to sat the least or none existant.
We cruised on the Eclipse Nov 2012 in the Southern Carribean which was blissful so we know how nice this ship is when things are normal.
As life for two weeks was NOT normal and I still am recovering from Motion Sickness etc and I know I am one of hundreds in this I feel a complaint is more than necessary.
I could go on and on as to the ordeal of this horrendous holiday but in conclusion this is the first time I have ever needed to complain re a cruise and in total I and my husband have done 15 and we are Elite Members of the Celebrity Captains Club.

My intention is to contact Celebrity Head Office in Miami as we are totally unsatisfied.
We have booked a cruise with them next year as it is our 40th Wedding Aniversery in a suite but I am having second thoughts on this now now.
