Our 2nd cruise, the 1st was on RCC’s Navigator of the Seas so a similar size shiP&Only comparison we have to date.
No problems with travel arrangements, very smooth.
We were disappointed with the 1970 ‘s interior of Equinox which we found rather dark, uninteresting and gloomy and lacking any sparkle, unlike Navigator which was a more luxurious and exciting ship.
Equinox felt more like a hotel than a beautiful cruise ship but there again it is a personal opinion and other people did like it.
However we were not too concerned about the ship as we booked purely for the itinerary from Barcelona which included Dubrovnik, Venice overnight, Kotor Montenegro , Rome, Pompei, Florence and Villefranche for Monaco.
Fabulous! The downside was being charged 30 dollars each for the shuttle bus into Dubrovnik (4 miles) and 12 dollars each to get into Venice.
This was not stated in the ad for the cruise which we feel is a little underhand.
For peace of mind we booked all our other trips with Celebrity and although expensive were excellent.
Food on board was fine if a little repetitive in the self-service.
Sadly no orange juice for breakfast unless you paid 5+ dollars which seems rather mean.
Lower floorCafealso charging for tea & coffee whereas on Navigator it was included.
Photographs were prohibitive.
My husband became unwell during the trip so unfortunately we only got a couple taken and only liked one of them which they wanted 59 dollars for! The photo assistant said we should get another 9 taken and then we could have 10 for 200 dollars, this on the last day! We have some really nice ones anyway taken by other guests.
We felt pressurised to part with money at every point on this ship and given a choice would not book with them again.
