The excursions were disappointing overall

The only good points of this cruise were the food-1st class, the entertainment-1st class.

For the rest, the ship was dated. This is not a ship you could take young children on,there is not enough for them to do,also the majority of passengers are dated Americans.(Unless playing hide and seek around zimmer frames counts for anything).

My wife and I had a balcony cabin which was smaller than other cruise liners we have sailed with. The carpet had a large stain and our balcony frequently had cigar ash ,although there is a non smoking policy on the ship. The bedding had holes but overall were clean.

Trips are expensive for what you get. When we arrived at a port we have never encountered such confusion as this cruise company creates, quite often we had to wait an hour before we could leave ship.On the quay side you are pestered to have your photograph taken by the ships photographers. The resulting pictures are of poor quality and of an amateurish nature although they are expensive. This is based on other cruises we have been on.If you wish to have photographs taken inside the vessel, I can in all honesty say that there is not anything that could be used as a glamorous back-drop.

Service on deck is not anything to shout about, the staff are very laid back, to the extent that you feel they cannot be bothered to serve you and although you pay gratuities up front,at the time of booking, they are still added to every drink that you request.Another point on service is if you have a query at guest reception, two young ladies are very helpful and polite, but the male assistants are abrupt to the point of rudeness.

This was the second last voyage of the Infinity before she went in for a major refurbishment(overdue),but I cannot help thinking that the staff’s attitude also needed an overhaul.

We have been on better ships with better companies.I would recommend that anyone considering a cruise have a shop around before parting with hard earned money and opting for this company which may leave you very disappointed.

One last point. The company you book through will tell you it is a great ship even though they have never set foot on the ship.Do your own homework. There is a lot of facts and details on the internet.Great things come with hind-site.
