It was a trip of a lifetime, sailing in the Magellan Straights, the Beagle Channel and also around Cape Horn.
The highlight for me was seeing the Patagonian Glaciers bathed in the dawn sunrise, although we did have to set our alarm clock for 4-45 am, but it was more than worth it.
The ship was in good nick, having recently been in for refit.
I would like to say in general we had great service, esp our cabin steward and trellis restaurant waiters.
The food in general was excellent.
I would have given the holiday 5 stars overall, but there were some minor gripes.
1/ we felt the ships excursions were very expensive, some were great , some a bit average.
2/ my wife thought that the shops were expensive and lacked choice that suited our taste.
3/we thought the drinks were a bit prices, presumably geared to US prices.
Our cabin 6095 was fine and comfortable, however being just above the lifeboats did interfere with photography occasionally.
Overall though hugely enjoyable and do pay to go and see the Tango show in Buenos Airies- knocks Strictly into cocked hat!
