Queen Anne

Queen Anne is a lovely ship although very different from the other “Queens” she does not display the signs of heritage that are on QM2 and Queen Victoria.

In fact if you ignore the Cunard logo you could be on a P&O ship as she is very light and airy.

Our cabin was pristine, our steward was always really pleasant and very helpful and we found the restaurant staff to be equally pleasant and helpful too and we enjoyed the menu every evening.

One evening we went to Tramontano ,which was superb and worth the small uplift we paid for the night.

It is a pity that the promenade deck on one side is obscured by the lifeboats as it makes your walk a little less enjoyable, the pool area was lovely and we liked the big screen for showing mid day films.

On the downside, don’t bother with The Bright Lights Society, what a waste of money for an inferior glass of “champagne” and a show with no story line and basically no talent.

What a rip off.

The shore excursions were somewhat overpriced, we paid about £60 each for a trip to the Hague and got 40 minutes when we got there, this should have been a full day excursion!

Finally the guest speakers were as usual excellent and Cunard service speaks for itself.
