Unfortunately our Med Cruise hardly got off the ground when my Sister had an accident in Barcelona, spent 7 days in hospital and 8 days in a hotel.
Evacuating QE and getting my Sister to Hospital was done professionally and quickly by the medical team, various other members of staff and their port agent.
Cunard’s Care Department in Southampton quickly made contact with us to offer their help and services and phoned regularly to check on us.
They only stopped phoning on arrival home.
How wonderful it was to have access to their help and that of their port agent – it made such a difference to what was a very stressful experience.
I am unable to say likewise of our insurance company’s medical assistance team – an awful experience.
