We have cruised many times before but mainly on P&O out of.
Southampton This was our first real fly cruise and we flew from.
Manchester to Athens and returned from Venice to Manchester at the end Our Bolsover rep had told us that Cunard was like P&O in the old days with more dressing for dinner and more formal nights which we enjoy.
The ship would be more cosmopolitan with mainly.
Brits on board but a fair contingent from America, Canada, Germany, and Australia/ New Zealand Her advice was accurate and very useful We joined the ship smoothly in Athens The Cunard organisation was spot on Our Holliday was superb.
The weather was great for the time of the year We had 4 days at sea which was about right so we had lots of time for visiting ports It did not matter that we had visited many of them before as we did no go on any trips but simply did our own thing with our 2 friends The ship was wonderful and the one occasion we had gale force winds of force 10 and above the ship hardly rocked and was very stable We are very impressed with Cunard and the QUEEN Elizabeth We will go again for sure and I think P&O is a fading memory of good old Canberra days as we really appreciated the atmosphere aboard Queen Elizabeth
