The cruise was very good we had some great destinations and the weather was glorious all cruise.
Inside Queen Elizabeth is a wonderful ship, only the odd rust spots and unfinished paint jobs made some areas look a bit shabby, and they were always doing work around deck 10 which meant we could not walk around the ship.
The staff were brilliant and could not do enough for you, as normal with Cunard the drink prices were expensive (3 pints of lager and a Vodka and diet coke was $33).
The little touches of putting nuts, nibbles and crisps on your table with the drinks was nice.
There are some beautiful areas on the ship to relax and also an adult only pool on deck 9 where the sail away took place with the ship’s band was fun.
We were on deck 8 room 8111 and this is where the issues were, after day 1 we hear tapping from 07:30 until around 8pm not all the time but every couple of minutes etc.
I complained to the bursar desk and they did send someone to look into this.
It turned out to be a leak in an air hose from the dishwasher on deck 9 Lido, my partner suffers from sleep issues so this was a real problem meaning if she did not get any sleep during the night the knocking or tapping during the day would not help.
They said there was nothing they could do to solve the problem, they did start the washer an hour later but this did not really help.
I was also made aware that other passengers on the same floor also complained.
After 4 or 5 days we were presented with a letter under our door offering us £255 off a next Cunard cruise or $355 on board spend.
Even though this was a nice gesture it did not solve the problem and it continued to the end of the cruise.
So if you are on Queen Elizabeth and this happens go and complain.
