From LFT testing to boarding QM2 was organised and straight forward.
Cleanliness and Covid precautions were evident, which made passengers feel safe.
Service and food was excellent as normal, Dress code was not adhered to by some people, even on a Gala night, which is such a shame as Cunard is known for it’s White Star service and elegance, certainly hope this is not going to become the norm, as that will be the end of what Cunard is known for and will become like every other cruise line.
A big criticism from us is to to do with the Pursers Desk, who we contacted daily for over a week with problems with our cabin, none of these problems were passed on and it wasn’t till we said about a official complaint that we had a visit from Head of Housekeeping, who was very sorry that the problems had not been passed on, the matter was sorted in less than 15 minutes and we were assigned another cabin.
The Pursers Desk staff were at times very short and rude to passengers and at times passengers were given the wrong information to genuine questions asked, including ourselves.
Overall we definitely enjoyed being back on board, yes some things were different but we have been in a Pandemic.
Our main complaint was the attitude of the Pursers Desk, most definitely need more training in people skills as wrong answers and information caused problems for other crew, my wife celebrated a birthday while on board, birthday cake and wine ordered, delivered to cabin late afternoon, dietary requirements had been given, not passed on to the kitchen, so my wife could not even eat any cake, 2nd cake appeared @ 10pm, bottle of wine we received 10 days later, no apologies from the Pursers desk at all.
