Having travelled with Cunard several times & our 2nd trip on QM2 my husband & I were dismayed at the change in dress code on board.
From 3 categories of Formal, Semi-formal & Elegant Casual it has been changed to Formal & Informal.
The Formal part is fine but nobody knew how to dress on Informal nights.
They have lumped together cocktail wear with casual & the two do not go together.
It is the first time ever on any cruise that the men have been better dressed than the ladies ! There are plenty of cruise lines who do not require such a strict dress code so if you don’t want to dress up go on another line.
Although the service was good it was not White Star.
The entertainment was not as good as usual, we only had 3 production shows in 16 days.
Having said all that we will definitely travel with Cunard again, but like a previous correspondent we feel that the Queen Mary is living on past glory.
