Joining the ship was easy and initially our cabin was lovely, however, the first night we were kept awake by squeezing noises from surrounding woodwork.
After complaining we found a wedge had been knocked into the joins of the surround.
Unfortunately this only exasperated and moved the noise for the second night which now became a knocking sound. I answered the door on many occasions thinking someone was there!
This continued through the second night keeping us restless and awake.
After a second complaint it was decided to remove ceiling panels and take a look.
This was all done whilst we were off the ship and fortunately the issue was resolved.
We loved the style and ambiance of the ship being a little smaller than some big ones we’ve been on.
The food, service and friendliness of the staff was excellent throughout the cruise.
Unfortunately there was a bug aboard the ship with many, including my wife and close friends, we were travelling with going down with it!
My wife was bedridden for 2 days but thankfully recovered.
The downside of the cruise was some of the entertainment was not good enough with only the entertainment team shows and Tony (Ass Cruise Dir) being the stand out entertainment.
Other cruise lines have much superior entertainment.
This being the ‘Mystery Cruise’ which docked in Norway, Sweden, Denmark & Germany we all (4) said we wouldn’t do another one as the little known destination on the whole proved to be uninspiring.
Overall we enjoyed the ship and the food but didn’t enjoy the rough North Sea crossing returning to Southampton through the storm which hit the UK.
