We recently travelled on the Zaandam from Buenos Aires to Rio and back again on the ‘Colours of Brazil’ cruise.
Overall it could not be faulted; the food, staff, entertainment and deck facilities were superb.
Our only criticisms were that dress code in the restaurant was poorly implemented and many passengers had no idea what was meant by the phrase ‘smart casual’ and the stateroom including the bathroom although immaculately clean was dated and in need of refurbishment.
However, we understand that the Zaandam is going in for a refit very shortly.
