This was our first MSC Cruise. It was very cheap compared to other cruises and the fact that we could have free wine, soft drinks or draught bears with meals was a real bonus.
Both the wine and food were excellent, as was the cabin standard and the staff.
However the information sent beforehand was extremely sparse.
A search on the internet revealed second sitting which we had booked was at 9.30pm and first 7pm.
We therefore asked Bolsover to change us, then when we got on the ship it transpired first sitting was 6.30pm and 2nd 9pm! Exploration on the internet also said this was a ‘younger person’s shipping company,’ and indeed it was.
There were lots of young people which was fine, except we were woken every night by teenagers shouting along the corridor presumably after the discos closed.
The other major problem was that smoking was permitted in a number of public indoor places, and the smoke permeated into virtually every public place! For these reasons we would not choose to travel with MSC again Val Hudson
