Have cruised many times with P&O but this was our first time on Arvia- probably the last!

The ship is beautiful, the food was excellent and the staff as always were brilliant

However a lot of the other passengers left a lot to be desired.

There was 6224 of us onboard and many places felt overcrowded.

So many prams and wheelchairs etc that needed the lifts actually caused arguments and shouting

First couple of days staff were posted at the entrances to the buffet making people wash their hands- once they were no longer there I saw very many people not bothering with any type of hygiene.

I saw people picking up food with their fingers and eating it whilst walking around

I witnessed teenagers in the gym messing around on the equipment but never saw any staff supervising

You couldn’t get near a hot tub as they were full of kids playing in them and shooting water pistols at people walking by

Loads of signage up telling people not to reserve sun loungers but most ignored this

Adults and children in the lifts in wet swimwear

The worst thing for us was the entertainment venues at night- whilst the band our comedians were on the little kids were running around and shouting right in front of them

Sorry to say it but it was not what I am used to from P&O

To add insult to injury we were advised our Aurora cruise in Aug 27 was now going to be accepting families with children!!!
