Sail through the Mediterranean Sea to Istanbul calling at various ports on the way, including La Goulette (Tunisia) where the temperature reached 47 degrees.Not too impressed with the call, only a small area where the immigration were and a few shop selling trinkets etc. No shuttle buses provided by P & O for people who had not booked an excursion . To walk into the town / city was 2 / 3 miles, not very good for an adult only ship. The only shuttle bus provided was in Malta due to where we moored up and that was compulsory as we could not walk through a working port. Istanbul was great, but very crowder as you would expect.
Aurora ‘s crew were excellent as was some of the entertainment such as BADNESS who filled the theatre and had a standing ovation both nights they performed.
Unfortunately notices came round all too frequently stating that chipping off of paint and re painting would be taking place which caused certain areas had to be closed off.
All in all we enjoyed the cruise and met some past friends who we met a few years ago.
What ever venue or deck we went on we were mostly able to find somewhere to sit or lay. Can’t wait for our next cruise.
