I have cruised on Azura before so it is always nice to come back to something that is familiar. Really liked the recent upgrade especially the new cabin decor which has brought a calmer feeling to the cabins. Mananged to book Sindu this trip, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the food, so much so we booked again for the following week. We also ate in Epicurean but as a group felt that Sindu was better value for money, absolutely can’t fault anything in Epicurean food and service fabulous but it has got a bit pricey.
Food in MDR as good as always, my only critisism would be the arrangements on what was our first night , which was a formal night( second night for most as our flight was delayed). We didn’t know where we were sitting and we felt a little out of place waiting at the side of dining room reception while this was sorted. Our waiters throughout the cruise were exceptional, we were disappointed to leave them on the days we ate in other restaurants.
Now to my cabin, I had a cabin in the same category as last time I was on Azura, I feel very strongly that the cabin I was eventually allocated should be in a lower category, it was in virtual full shade for the whole two weeks of the cruise and was exceptionally noisy from activity on the above public deck, from early morning, during the afternoon and quite late into the night. It would not be possible to either have a lie in, an afternoon nap or an early night due to the constant noise. This should also be stated somewhere within the cabin information. I also feel the process for allocating my cabin was absurb, this was allocated one day before the cruise so I was unable to print luggage labels, none of my cruise information would scan on boarding and my case went missing all very stressful after a two hour flight delay.
