We enjoyed our cruise , not our first with p and o but the first on Azura.
Whilst we enjoyed ourselves our view is that p and o standards have deteriorated significantly since our last cruise prior to the pandemic .the menus in the main restaurants are samey and the quality is questionable .
That said the Christmas Day dinner was superb, just a shame the same level of quality was carried into the rest of the catering .
The buffet is a bit of a joke with only one side open , poor given the size of the ship and the 3000+ passengers on board .
We used it once but then gave it a wide berth given the scrum which inevitably developed.
Our balcony cabin was lovely and with the exception of the pillows (which were badly stained ) it was very clean and our steward was wonderful.
We enjoyed the shore excursions in la Palma and Madeira.
Entertainment on board was ok with the standout being the headliners company who always put on an excellent show .
The rest was a bit disappointing.
Our biggest issue was with disembarkation.we were evicted from our cabin at 8am , however it took p and o almost 5 hours to disembark us , made even worse by the lack of food and drink as everything was shut .
we then endured a 6 hour delay at the airport courtesy of tui.
In summary we had a great cruise but p and o really need to up their game.
