Cabin little smaller than expected. Storage ok but without a bedside cabinet on one side it did mean we had more on the dressing table than we would normally have out. We were advised by cabin steward that now bedding only changed every 7 days. Our sheet was torn as well.
I did not feel the food on Britannia was as good as other ships. Twice we had cold food and one of our friends actually left her main course. Speciality dining fine except Glass House who had a problem with deep fryer which meant we had to change the order. The fault was fixed quickly but no one advised us – we would have changed the order to our original choices!
Shame we only had one speaker for the duration. He was excellent though.
Enjoyed the fact that this cruise celebrated Marco Pierre White 20 year association with P&O. There were various events to celebrate this which we attended eg Wine tasting with Ollie Smith plus meal in Limelight where menu devised by Jose Pizarro and Marco and paired with wines chosen by Ollie. Rather expensive but we enjoyed both.
Lack of quiet spaces to sit on sea days was an annoyance. The seating in both Java and Blue Bar severely restricted as rather than use as coffee shop/bar people used that area to sit and read, nod off or play games. Unable to get served on occasions
Problem with one tour which meant I had to sit out most of it. Spoke to Shore excursions desk who on investigation decided the activity level was high and not moderate as listed. Did not get refund just bottle of cheap house wine!
