Had a wonderful weeks cruise to Norway on P&O Iona. Went with a friend who was new to cruising. We travelled by coach from Woodall Services and arrived just after mid day. The queues outside the terminal were very busy but we were able to disembark the coach close to the terminal and were shown a priority route through the terminal building to the front of the queue. We were on board the ship within 20 minutes of leaving the coach.
Everything about the Iona was brilliant. The staff were all fantastic and wanted to make our holiday as good as possible. Our cabin was superb with a balcony and the steward couldn’t do enough for us, even tracking down some blankets for us to watch the early morning sail in to Olden. The cleanliness around the ship was immaculate and the staff in the buffet were quick to clean any table that was vacated ready for the next people. The food was great although having been on previous P&O cruises I thought the choice and variety was more limited than before. The ports we visited were very interesting , we had previously booked the trips with P&O before sailing and we were happy with all of them. Our only disappointment was that we couldn’t visit our last port due to a storm so spent 2 days sailing back to Southampton.
My friend and I both had a brilliant holiday and have both booked a separate cruise with our respective partners.
