I found it difficult to maintain a sense of calm completing the pre cruise tests and getting all the paperwork and printing complete.
The pick up, journey and trip to Southampton was so straightforward we’d never drive down again.
It was busy at the port and the cruise line made a couple of mistakes with my name which delayed us (even though I pointed this out weeks before).
There was even a typo with the change made at the port which caused complications on board.
Once sorted we settled down.
The ship was amazing, the cabin fabulous and scenery and places we visited awesome.
We tried all the included restaurants (except the one that had to be booked).
The main dining restaurants were fine and the food good (could eat steak every night) if a little traditional – same two sauces on repeat.
Horizon (self service) limited choice.
Entertainment repeated in main theatre.
Missed having an entertainment lead and tv channel.
Communication not the best.
Service was also variable.
Prefer traditional face to face booking in advance at a reasonable time – not too early at 5.30 or 6.30.
Would also have liked to have had the chance to sit at least once to make the most of the view in The Pearl Restaurant.
