If like my wife and I you are in your senior years and enjoy a nice quiet friendly cruise with good food I wouldn’t consider getting on this ship.

5000+ passengers have created a drastic lowering of standards – yes P & O have gone significantly down market!

If you want some good food I would book in at Blackpool or Skegness where you will find similar clientele but at least have a chance of a good meal.

The entertainment wasn’t brilliant and so loud it was ear piercing which for me made it a no go zone.

As we booked our recent cruise to the Canary Islands only a couple of weeks prior to the cruise we didn’t have much of a choice of cabins.

Ours was a balcony cabin on the 5th deck, not very high up the ship.

These cabins do not have sliding doors to the balcony.

Ours had got a window and a hinged storm door just in case the sea got rough.

This door was so heavy and stiff we were in danger of getting an Hernia opening it.

The door from the corridor into the cabin wasn’t much easier.

I think there is definitely a Health and Safety issue here, an injury waiting to happen!

It was definitely evident to us that many of the crew were not happy in their work as I feel they are well under staffed.

I shudder to think what was happening in the kitchens.

The quality of the food was so poor at times it makes me wonder if all the Chefs have departed to better ships on other cruise lines.

I could go on telling you about our very disappointing time on board.

If you have booked a cruise with them I sincerely hope you have a better experience than we did.

Sorry P & O after several cruises with you over the years you won’t be getting anymore of our money, this will be our last.
