Japan land tour and cruise
Charles Lyall | September 17, 2018 | Princess Cruises | Diamond Princess
The land tour was excellent with a very good courier. The cruise around the Island of Hodakke was not. The ship, crew, service and food were first class but that is where it ended. The destinations were poor with the exception of Otara, which was better. We missed the last call due to the Typhoon. Worst of all was the constant selling going on during the cruise. The daytime entertainment was reminiscent of a 1960’s holiday camp, the only thing missing was a ‘nobbly knees contest’. We are not big drinkers but the price of alcohol was extortionate. The cheapest bottle of wine was $32 with the addition of a 15% service charge on top (for uncorking and pouring it out). All drinks except in buffet were subject to this 15% including coffee. We will not go Princess again.
