14 day western med. cruise – May 14th – 28th

1.By sailing from southampton this allowed many very elderly and disabled british people to enjoy easy embarkation. They were also able to move easily round the ship using their many mobility scooters, walking frames and walking aids.
2. Princess excursions were very expensive for what they were. Coach loads were not co-ordinated so that hundreds of people arrived in the same small places at the same time. The visit to Portofino was the worst. The boat trip along the coast was short, packed with many people standing and arriving at the same time as at least 800 people were in the small harbour square. 3. Our Bolsover affiliated company, Cruising Excursions, gave us an excellent tour, with nine of us on a comfortable people carrieraround the Tuscania countryside. We were able to enjoy unhurried visits to small picturesque towns without the crowds.
4. Bolsover documentation informed us that embarkation was from Mayflower Quay. I therefore planned my route to there. On the actual tickets, embarkation was from Ocean Terminal!
