not princess at its best

This wasn’t the best cruise we have done with Princess.We were on the same ship in the Carribean in January and the standards were much higher.

Entertainment was poor apart from a solo violinist,one comedian and the Venetian orchestra.The stage shows were the same as in January but were not performed as well.The cruise director and his deputy were poor and didn,t seem to be bothered.

The day we went to Dubrovnik was a disaster as far as transport back to the ship was concerned and we had to get taxis back to the ship.All the other cruise lines had staff there forming people wanting to return to their ships in orderly queues but there were none from Princess and result was chaos as people just pushed in to get on the busses.We did complain and only after demanding to see a senior officer on the ship did they realise the dangerous situation and send someone to sort it out.

Food was the same as before but not in some cases as well cooked particularly in the main restauraunt.

Disembarkation was poor,there were a lot of Elite passengers on board and we were told that as the Crown Grill was small we could wait with other passengers in a lounge right at the opposite end to the disembarkation area.On our last cruise there were far more Elite passengers and they opened up a dining room to seat us all.

My wife and I really think that the problems we encountered were just down to poor management on the ship.

We could not fault the service from any other members of staff and were really well looked after and it will not put us off travelling with Princess again.
