Our Very First cruise

We left sunny Southampton {not} on tuesday 14th october the ship was amazing as was our outside cabin plenty of room for the wife to unpack her three suitcases , we went on to explore the ship with friends of ours who had cruised before it felt like a 5 star hotel on the sea , so much to see and discover , retreating to our cabin to get ready for the evening meal we were able to relax and prepare for the first evening on board . well the meal was all we thought and more service was great to , afterwards we went to the theatre for the live show ending a perfect start to our first days cruising. The next day started well, lovely breakfast meeting other people and making friends , But by mid day we had hit the Bay !! our SEA Sickness came on almost instantly we had to retire to our cabin for the next 3 days the weather was so rough 4-9 mtr waves and force 8 winds we did feel very poorly. But by the four day we had reached the Canaries it was a complete change carm seas and warm weather our holiday could start again we went on to enjoy a lovely cruise the islands were a nice chance to get off the ship and explore the sites , our favourite was Madeira , the cable car ride up the mountain and then visit the Botanical gardens which we did enjoy but the best bit for me was the ride down on the wicker basket which was just wild the wife had never been so scared in her life it was GREAT . The trip back home was fine carm and clear.
