Overcrowded!

This is our 2nd cruise with Princess and unfortunately I think it may well be the last. Due to job commitments we have to have our holidays during school holiday time so we are aware that it will always be very busy wherever we are but this ship did not have enough staff to cope with all the passengers. There was nowhere to sit to eat breakfast in Horizon Court, we queued for up to 40 minutes to enter the anytime diningroom (but to be fair once inside the food was excellent), sunbeds were placed with no more than an inch between them. Also lots of sunbeds had towels placed on them for long periods of time even though it says in the ship information book that these will be removed within 15 minutes if not used! Lots of times we had to wait up to 20 mins for a waiter to serve us when sitting in the Piazza and other bars. In the end my husband went to the bar himself on many occasions. But on the other hand our stateroom was kept spotless by our steward who was friendly and courteous and always had a smile on his face. Although we had to wait for food many many times it was excellent wherever we ate. The trips we booked through Princess were very well organised and enjoyable. Although we felt there weren’t enough staff the staff we did have dealings with were always lovely and friendly. Perhaps we were just unlucky with this particular ship as our previous cruise was excellent in every way (that was on the Regal Princess).
