Penny pinching Princess
Rosemary Fisher | December 21, 2020 | Princess Cruises | Emerald Princess
Ship was fine, although some warning bells about lack of hand hygiene in the food areas.
Cabin comfortable and clean and well looked after.
Going ashore via tender very slow and waited a long time.
Prices of drinks and excursions are exorbitant.
One bone of contention was that when the ship docked a good distance away from the town there was no courtesy bus for passengers to access the town easily. They expected us to pay $6 each person, each way. I thought this was outrageous, we went outside the terminal building and FOUR of us got a taxi for $12.
Secondly, on disembarking we were taken and dumped at the airport at 10 am when our flight was not due to leave until the evening. We were offered a tour that would give us a bus ride round in the morning and take us to the airport in the afternoon, but they wanted $150 per person for that privilege! Also we were given wrong information regarding our return flight check-in and were taken to the wrong terminal.
