Worst cruise ever

23rd April saw my hubby and I board the Emerald Princess for a three night cruise to Guernsey.
Things started out badly when we boarded the ship and saw our obstructed view stateroom with the tender virtually sat on the window ledge blocking out natural light. The stateroom being the smallest we’ve ever had.
After the first disappointment we toured the ship to look around at the different venues. No problems there, until we decided to go for lunch in the Horizon, no seating available, eventually when we found a table, the food was quite disappointing and served on plastic plates with plastic mugs for tea and coffee, plastic glasses for soft drinks.
Dinner, we were on anytime dining, was passable.
24th at sea. Went for breakfast in the Horizon and was told at 10.20 the servery was closed, and to use another, I queried this as it stated the horizon servery was open until 11.30. When I got to the other servery I waited in a queue for over 25 minutes to eventually get a cold breakfast for my husband and my self.
We were unable to get seats in either the International Cafe or any of the bars, so we spent all our time in the lightless cabin or walked around the decks. 45 minutes wait for dinner, so we gave up and went to the horizon for a cold (hot) meal. Breakfast Monday 25th we managed to get a seat and ate the only decent meal we’d had all weekend. On return from the trip to Guernsey, they was no where to sit in any bar, The international Cafe so we shared a table with three very disappointed gentlemen who said if this had been their first cruise they’d have never cruised again.
Dinner, cold of course was once again taken in the Horizon.
There were hen parties, loads of groups who took up most of the seating in the bars, leaving tables with no seats. It’s been the first time ever we couldn’t wait to get off a ship. We’d never sail with any Princess ship again
