Disappointing ship

On arriving at our stateroom C417 for our trip from Vancouver to Fort Lauderdale via the Panama Canal we decided not to unpack our cases due to the fact that the cabin was very dirty, surfaces sticky and thick dust everywhere. There were 2 medication tablets on the floor and dirty cotton wool buds and waste paper in the drawers. We contacted Passenger services who informed us they would send the Deck Supervisor. Eventually a Steward arrived who started to flick a duster and vacuum the floor. We had to point out the sticky areas! Our complimentary sparkling wine was not forthcoming. We felt this to be a very upsetting start to the holiday. The following day the Deck Supervisor did visit us after further complaints to Passenger Services. Disappointing buffet, very repetitive. Food and service in the Anytime dining was excellent. Generally a very disappointing cruise ship.
