Reassured recent cruise traveller.

Are you feeling nervous about returning to cruising? Well, be assured that Princess are doing everything that could possibly be asked of them to keep passengers and staff safe.
There are a few little compromises such as no chocolate on the pillow! A little less choice of entertainment and menu content but the payback is a spotless and constantly being cleaned ship, ie after each group has visited the theatre and all day long handrails in all public areas.
Everyone needs to be double jabbed and tested (paid for and organized by the cruise company) immediately prior to boarding. Unlike so many places , on board everyone wears masks in all public places including the theatre, on coach trips and until sat down in the restaurants. I did not hear one person complain or grumble. I believe that like us they felt reassured by all these procedures being in place.

On top of this, as always, we felt welcomed and that the staff all genuinely felt glad to be back to some level of normality. Many of our fellow travelers were familiar with cruising and appeared happy, like us. If you are prevaricating about booking your next cruise or giving it a try for the first time then perhaps our experience will give some level of hope for the future. We are so glad we took the plunge after all this time.
