Huge ship
Michelle McDermott | August 8, 2016 | Princess Cruises | Royal Princess
Stepping aboard Royal Princess was an easy process, slick and well excited, our luggage found it way to our cabin wishing 60 minutes after arrival. The layout of the ship is strange with no access to stairs in the centre of the ship, meaning you have to walk to either end every time you want to go up and down as i try to use the stairs to combat the food!!!. the cabin steward was a delight, and the company at the table great fun however, the ship was cold the air-conditioning was turned up too cold and the dining room was freezing, making it impossible to sit at the table without a jumper or fleece!!! really elegant on formal nights. Oh and while we are on the subject of formal nights….. approx 10% of passengers bothered to wear formal dress the rest turned up in shorts flip-flops etc and were still allowed to eat in the dining rooms. When staff were challenged the attitude was “we want our guest to feel comfortable” Please if you say formal keep it formal if you are not bothered say casual….. it makes packing far easier!!!!!!
Having said all that the holiday was good fun and now looking froward to the next one …. on a smaller ship!
