A fabulous Midnight Sun experience

Our cruise took us along the Norwegian coast to the North Cape and back again to Southampton. When you are booking a cruise such as this you are accepting the fact that nature is not always cooperative and that the best-laid plans can fall apart due to bad weather and the like. Well, however you put it – good luck, good timing or whatever we were treated to the most wonderful evening with the Midnight Sun in its full glory.

That was really what most of the people I spoke to wanted and we weren’t disappointed – so all in all the cruise was a great success. We have travelled a fair number of times with Princess – so you know how its going to go and in that respect – the ship, the crew, the stateroom, facilities and so on all came up to what was expected. I am getting a bit fed up with add ons such as daily gratuities being added and the additional service charge on just about everything purchased but that’s a cruise thing I suppose. Overall it was a fabulous cruise with great ports, magnificent scenery and weather which allowed full enjoyment of our itinerary.
