Rubbish

Arrived home on 23rd Jan 2019 from a 14 day cruise around Asia. Joined ship in Shanghai and it was delayed. We were supposed to board at 1300hrs. But they made excuses, Fog, Port closure, Immigration till this day never been told the truth! So we ended in what can only be described as a ‘Holding Pen’ with the ship in site. No reps from the ship no updates, only local Chines herding you into rows of chairs. 2800 passengers crowded in this Pen from 1000hrs till 2100hrs. We were given a packet of crisps and a bottle of water during this confinement. But some managed to steal sandwiches from the privileged guests. Boarded 2130 and then had to attend Boat Drill (this is compulsory before the vessel can sail). At 2230hrs the buffet was opened for our first meal of the day. But, 2800 passenger’s made for the same venue at the same time, resulting in gridlock and queues all the way up stairwells and corridors. Gave up and went to bed !!Next day things would get better, no it didn’t. The breakfast is probably the worst I’ve had in the 6 trips of cruising, the meals were only warm for lunch, dinner and the menu repeated every 4days, calling it by different names. The balcony cabin was very small and the bathroom a cubical with a shower curtain. If your over 6feet tall and 16stone its going to be struggle to fit in! Cabins need refurb!!! Our table waiter went missing for 3days and when he returned my wife went down with sickness and diarrhoea. He had gone down with the same thing!!! Two days later it was my turn. This ship has had its day. 10 years ago it would be OK, there is no Wow factor! Good luck if your already booked, If not get another Cruise Line!!
